Cybersecurity Initiative

Epitel prioritizes cybersecurity in product design and is continually monitoring the evolving cybersecurity landscape for emerging threats. Epitel is committed to protecting patient safety and privacy as well as healthcare systems and customer data.


Epitel has established policies that control our handling of sensitive information, to protect customers and patients. As a reflection of this, Epitel has obtained SOC 2 Type 1 + HIPAA + GDPR attestation via Prescient Assurance and are currently pursuing SOC 2 Type 2 + HIPAA + GDPR certification.

Epitel is an active member of Health-ISAC, a community committed to cybersecurity threat identification and mitigation in the healthcare and public health sector through information sharing and collaboration.


Epitel leverages a third-party developer security tool to assess product software for cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

This tool is utilized both during development and as part of post market surveillance to ensure product security throughout a product’s lifecycle.


Epitel uses Cobalt to perform penetration testing on both hardware and software components, including server and cloud environments.
